Privacy Policy

When you contact us or take a quiz: your name, email address, industry, the message you write, and for the revenue quiz the business numbers you enter (calls per week, deal size, and so on).

When you create an account: your name, email address, a hashed password (we never store the password itself), and optionally your company, industry, company size and tech stack.

When you buy something: what you bought and the amount. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers.

When you use the community, reviews or affiliate program: what you post, your votes, and your referral activity.

When you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address.

When you apply to work with us: your name, email, country, the role, links to your work, what you expect to be paid and the note you write. We use it only to review your application, and keep it for as long as we may want to work with you.

We count visits with our own system. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. Each visit gets a one-way code that changes every day, so we can count how many different people visited and which pages they read, but we cannot recognise anyone or follow them from one day to the next. We record the page, the website you came from, your country (when our host provides it), and a broad device and browser type. We ignore bots and visitors whose browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal.

To stop abuse such as password guessing and spam, we keep short-lived records that include your IP address. These are deleted automatically after 14 days. Technical error reports are kept for 90 days.

We do not sell personal data. We use a small number of service providers to run the site: Stripe to take payments, our hosting and database provider to store data, and Google if Google Analytics is switched on and you accepted it. They process data on our behalf and only for that purpose.

We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users from fraud or abuse.

Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and as long as we need them for accounting and legal reasons. Visitor statistics are kept for up to 13 months. Read notifications are removed after 90 days. When you delete your account, your profile and account data are removed. Records we must keep for tax or accounting remain, without the parts that identify you where the law allows.

You can change your details and password, sign out of all devices, download a copy of your data, and delete your account from the My Account page. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, exported or erased, and to object to how we use it. This site is for businesses and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes too. For significant changes we will say so on the site.
