Is a signature made here legally valid?

This tool places a picture of your signature on the page, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. In many countries that is accepted for ordinary agreements, but rules differ by country and by type of document, and some documents need a witness, a notary or a certified digital signature. Check what the other party or your lawyer requires.

Is this a digital signature with a certificate?

No. It does not use a certificate and it does not record who signed or when. It is a visual signature. If you need proof of who signed, use a service that provides a signing record.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened and signed in your browser, so the document and your signature never leave your device.

Can I save my signature for next time?

Yes, if you tick the box it is kept in this browser only. You can remove it at any time from the link under the page.

Can the signature be moved after I download?

No. It becomes part of the page. Keep your original file if you may need an unsigned copy.

What if my PDF has a password?

Files protected with a password cannot be opened by this tool. Remove the password in the program that made the file, save a copy, and try again.
